Since its formation in 1991, the Danel Quartet has consistently pursued the same principles with the same enthusiasm and conviction: constantly finding new ways to perform works from Haydn to contemporary composers. With over 80 concerts per year, the Danel Quartet is a firmly established
name on the world stage, playing at famous concert halls touring more and more frequently. The loyalty of certain prestigious institutions such as the Musiktage Römerbad in Badenweiler, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, or the Sapporo Concert Hall in Japan, is also testament to the years of hard work and research.

We are going to play the two Ligeti quartets and two works by Belgian composers with very different backgrounds. We have a lot of admiration for Benoît Mernier and the first performance of his new quartet is the logical next step in our loyal relationship. As for Catherine Seba’s string quartet with electronics, we are curious by nature and open to the recommendations made to us.
Favourite football club? Marc is a supporter of LOSC, the Lille team, and I support Paris Saint-Germain. In Brussels, I follow the English Premier League in the various pubs in the city centre.
I will always cherish a special memory of the concert we performed in Bucharest in September 2009. It was my first concert in the country of my birth and we played the Enesco octet with the Enesco quartet, in which my father is the first violin. And my partner, my mother, and my grandmother were all in the audience.
Anyother hidden talents? I am an amateur electric bass player, and whenever our schedule allows, I try to play in a band with friends. I like many different musical styles. But most of all, I love hard rock.
Who do you admire most? As a viola player, I have deep admiration for Vladimir Mendelssohn. He was my teacher, and it is through him that I met the Danel Quartet. I love playing with him when we play quintets, sextets or octets. He’s my idol!

Très belle preformance pour le quatuor de Ligeti et Bernier .
Par contre la composition de Catherine Seba, rien n'a dire car il y a rien du tout, que des clichés électroniques d'y il a 50 ans, diffusion très mal inséré dans l'ensemnble très peu de recherche, une impression de facilité, il y a une suffisance qui m'étonne, avant les compositeurs devaient faire leurs preuves, on a l'impression qu'aujourd'hui ce n'est plus le cas! un peu de son electronique vite fait quelques frottements d'archets et voilà...
