  • Born in Paris in 1958, he studied music, philosophy, art history and mathematical logic. A researcher and then head of several departments at IRCAM between 1981 and 1998, he has since devoted himself entirely to creation

  • A composer and multimedia artist, he is the recipient of numerous international awards, including the Digital Music Prize at the Bourges International Competition, the Ars Electronica Interactive Art Prize, and the Charles Cros Grand Multimedia Prize

  • His works, installations, and performances have been presented in collaboration with numerous leading artists, ensembles, and institutions, such as Radio France, the New York Philharmonic, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Contemporary Art Museum of Houston

  • With his wife, the renowned Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho, he has participated in the creation of numerous multidimensional projects, exploring the interaction between sound and image and the relationship between the senses
