Pierre Fontenelle
A Belgian cellist with an international career as a soloist and chamber musician. He has performed as a soloist in prestigious venues such as Flagey, the Luxembourg Philharmonie, and the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, and collaborated with renowned orchestras like the Brussels Philharmonic, Musiques Nouvelles, and the Casco Philharmonic.
His repertoire extends beyond the realm of great classical concertos to include more singular works by composers such as Friedrich Gulda, Sofia Gubaidulina, Pēteris Vasks, and Apolline Jesupret.
A very active chamber musician, he has shared the stage with artists such as Ian Bostridge, Jean-Guihen Queyras, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, Gwendoline Blondeel and Gaëlle Solal, and regularly collaborates with the Oxalys ensemble, as well as pianists Çağıl Cansu Şanlıdağ and Ninon Hannecart-Ségal
