Chœur de Chambre de Namur
Created in 1987 at the initiative of the Centre for Vocal Art & Early Music (CAV&MA), the Chœur de Chambre de Namur is among the most renowned vocal ensembles in Europe, and regularly performs in the most prestigious venues on the continent (Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, Opéra Bastille in Paris, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Verbier Festival...)
Although its repertoire spans from the Middle Ages to contemporary music, their specialty lies in early and Baroque music; they have made it their mission to promote the historical musical heritage of Wallonia and Brussels by reviving composers such as Lassus, Du Mont, and Gossec
Placed under the artistic direction of the Argentinian conductor Leonardo García-Alarcón since 2010, the choir regularly collaborates with numerous guest conductors (Christophe Rousset, Jordi Savall...)
Boasting a rich and highly acclaimed discography (Grand Prix de l'Académie Charles Cros, Diapason d'Or), the ensemble is praised for its fluidity and technical precision
