Fanto & Lou workshops in collaboration with Alegria

In 2025, Festival Ars Musica and Alegria, premiered a new youth opera: Fanto & Lou, a musical adventure for children aged six and up.

To link this discovery to an educational moment, Ars Musica and Alegria offered an educational program for primary school classes.

This project invited students to explore the world of opera in various ways:

• Preparatory workshops to introduce students to the story of the opera and understand its meaning. Under the guidance of a workshop facilitator, students discover the characters and themes of the story while exploring the interplay between words, music, and emotions.
• A “music and dance” workshop, led by a musician from the production, to experience the world of sound and rhythm of the opera in a physical way.
• The school performance of  Fanto & Lou, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Le Senghor, where the journey of the little elephant and the child comes to life on stage.
• In-depth workshops that, through dance or visual arts, give students the opportunity to visualize their experience with the performance through movement or artworks.

With its sensitive and participatory approach, this pedagogical project by Ars Musica en Alegria aimed to stimulate the creativity, critical thinking, and cultural openness of young spectators. It allowed them to experience opera not merely as a performance to see, but as a collective adventure to feel, share, and continue.
