Oren Boneh
He studied with numerous renowned figures such as Hans Abrahamsen, Juliana Hodkinson, Philippe Leroux, and Franck Bedrossian, and followed a cosmopolitan academic path that took him to the University of Denver, the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, Montreal, and the University of California, Berkeley. In 2019-2020, he completed the IRCAM course in Composition and Computer Music, supported by the George Ladd Prize.
He is a lively and idiosyncratic personality. His music, which sounds raw at times and humorous at others, is characterized by a constant tension between order and uninhibited, instinctive energy.
Winner of numerous prizes, such as the first prize of the Salvatore Martirano Memorial Composition Competition in 2017, the Impuls International Composition Competition, the Franco Donati International Competition, etc.
Will stay at Villa Medici in Rome during the 2026-2027 season.
